Get some alcohol (not beer
) and the lint-est free cloth you have. If it's the heat sink you're cleaning, I would just put a few drops of alcohol on the thermal paste and then let it to soak in for a few seconds and then wipe it off.For CPU, I would wet the cloth first and then clean the paste off. If you don't have a lint free cloth, you can at the end ball up a piece of newspaper and then rub it on what you were cleaning with it. Newspaper seems to not carry micro dust like regular napkins. The higher the alcohol %, the better. TOOTHPASTE?!?!?! Incredible! LOL. No toothpaste. ^^""
