Just installed my tower and im not to happy with temps. Right now 3.55ghz 444x8 1.375 vcore droop is 1.30 under load. My old zalman 9500 did 58-60c sometimes hitting 62c but not alot. The tuniq is hitting 56c under load and when i tried to go up to 3.8ghz my temps hit 70c i didnt even hit that high with the 9500.

Your fan is on high and you are venting to the rear of the case? I didn't like my old TT frankly. I had similar results.

Reseat, make sure their is contact between your HSF and CPU, also how much TIM did you put.

ya its on high 1900rpms or so max and i have a 120 pushing air out rear of case. Thin layer i thk i might have to finish the lap job on the cpu to get it more flat.

Are you sure it is sitting completely over the chip? I had the same type of issue with my HS until I noticed that there was a small part on the edge that wasn't making contact with the CPU causing really high load temps. Other than that, you can check if the Tuniq base itself if flat or a bit concave and if that is the case, you might consider a lapping job.

Weird. I'm at 3.84 GHz (1.54v) and my temps never go above 60c with Orthos. My tuniq is venting out the back, but I have front and rear 120mm case fans lined up with it as well. Maybe you're using too much AS5?

Q9450 Benchmark Chart - No CPU-Z till I get a better motherboard. 3.55 GHz is NOT how I roll.

You should reapply AS5. Audi has a great post about using the end of a mechanical pencil to apply a very thin line of AS5 to the top of the Conroe chip. AS5 application

Or my abit ip35-e is showing some really wierd temps core temp reads same as speed fan cant use tat tho not supported by this board.
