Of the many kinds of efficient CPU fans, Ultra-120 is the most popular with enthusiasts.

They're both great. Just a matter of looks really.

A little biased, but I'd have to give the nod to the Ultra 120 Extreme. Problem with comparing these two is like comparing Tom Brady to Peyton Manning. They're both great in certain instances, you just have to flip a coin really and see whether or not your bank account will limit you.

the ultra is the better cooler, i just builtt my friend a rig witha Q6600 and installed the tuniq and I am not the biggest fan of it. I have the ultra 120 and have had very good results. If you read the reviews the Ultra 120 always comes on top but for me the main difference was the noise.

My friend's tuniq sounds like a jet and I can barely hear my ultra 120.

Default 9700, Scythe Infinity

What about the Zalman 9700 LED/NT or the Scythe Infinity? Any other suggestion for good, quiet cooling. BTW, I am using a Antec P182B.

Those 2 are not quite up to the task of cooling a quad, especially if you have > 3.2 in mind.

then what is best suited, give me a list (also include recommended fans needed for ultra 120). it would be great if it was silent or very quiet even though i have a p182b
