ok i just built a friend new comp e6750 cpu with p5k-E m/b ,downloaded both coretemp and intel TAT and getting core temps of 15-20 deg C .Are these temps correct seem reall low to me

Maybe you didn't set HS properly or it might have moved. Look there.
Oh and what is the ambient temp at your place?

well if HS wasn't seated properly temps would be high so don't see how that could be problem

Core temp is very good. In case that some temp programs read the temp incorrectly, you can check the cpu temp in the BIOS before you boot into OS. It isn't accurate (about 70%-80% of core temp in OS) but just give you an idea what the temp should be after you boot in OS.

well temps in bios are about the same already checked there just used to my temps of being in 40's but mine is o/c
