make sure to use AS5. It made a big difference. Dont use that giz crap. I had previously used antec thermal compound with my Zalman and my idle temps were 42c. With AS5 correctly applied now its 33c. Make sure to follow directions on Arcticsilver.com
buy a small tube at FRYs for $7.99- or just use the 5 finger discount method- Works great

It doesn't really make a large difference if you use AS5 or Ceramic paste. The only thing is you need just a bit more when using Ceramic paste.

The cremique is suited for use on chipsets and mosftes that are surrounded by resistors. This is because it doesnt have capasitance like AS5 does. What that means is that even though AS5 isnt conductive, it still has electrical properties that may interfere with a resistors ability to regulate voltage passing through it. But if you are careful and dont use an excessive amount, AS5 is fine for those applications too.
