However, regarding your temps, I have a Q6600 @ 3.6 (400x9) with 1.46v (under load it is only 1.41v). I use Arctic Freezer 7 Pro as my cooler and added a 80mm Antec Tricool at the back of it to pull hot air out of the fins.
My IDLE temps are 40,40,39,39 with LOAD 69,69,65,65.. I did not lap my CPU and Heatsink as I do not know how

So, I guess that you should get a better fan for your TRUE since the temperature gap between yours and mine is only 3C even after you had lapped your CPU and TRUE.
Yeah, the fan is holding me back, I'm certain. I think I'm just gonna have to give up bling for a high static pressure fan like the panaflo. Maybe making a panaflo tricked out is the next project.

Or a push pull set of fans.

The best part about this is there's no real need to stop working on it, which is what held me back in the past. Huzzah! (sorry, I was playing NWN2 for two hours)

nice job, specially with the pics. I didn't have the patience to take pics while I was lapping mine. I did the TRUE first and was at it for almost 2 hrs, and there was just one spot that I couldn't get perfect. I gave up and went on to the cpu which didn't take nearly as long.

BTW, are you sure that scythe fan was on there right? I have an S-flex but in order to blow on to the TRUE the label was facing the heatsink. Unless you had it pulling air out. I have a few yates on order and I'm going to try a push/pull since I'm not really happy with my s-flex.

To be fair, that scythe was from a scythe kama bay kit, which I added an aerocool extreme to in my 5.25 bay, along with a totally useless aerocool multi-function panel. Well, the panel does read sd cards and offers power USB, but it's a crap fan controller and temp sensor. You pay for wisdom sometimes...

Anyway, I was warned the scythe was crap when I bought it, and I never planned on using it, but I gave it a whirl to see what the hell. And, yeah, it's garbage for what I need it to do. It was on right to blow through the TRUE fins and out the back, only it did it like an asthmatic kid who smokes kools inflating a zeppelin...

Yeah, I've been into D&D hardcore for years and years... I still carry my favorite pen and paper wizard on my sleeve. Now I have hardware that can really run the game, and there's not really a console game that can match it in its intricacies. Except maybe [brain fart] Baldurs Gate. I'm not too quick on the mouse and keyboard these days, but I have my 360 wireless controller hooked up for things like crysis, which I have never played (somebody just crapped when they read that, yes, I will play it).

Hahahaha.. The only D&D game I ever liked are Neverwinter nights and Icewindale. I can still remember when my friends and I would play with the board, dices and rule book handy. Boy, that was fun. Now in college, hardly anyone plays D&D games anymore. Faster pace RPG such as Diablo and Hellgate london are more popular these days. The rest of the D&D games are not to my taste. Ya, you have a much better hardware than mine. I can only run it at 20FPS for Neverwinter Nights 2. Glad to find someone who still plays D&D in this forum.

TY!

I got that Panaflow fan on, works great. All in all, my system has "gelled" into its complete form now...

So, of course, I'm bored. I have a spare machine in the attic, just sitting there...
