Hey guys... im building a new system atm.. consisting of a 790i ultra and a Q6600 which i plan to thrash the **** out of... (overclock.. alot)
As the title suggests.. im looking for a real good cpu heatsink to cool this sucker.. Ive had a look at the Zalman CNPS9700-NT, scythe ninjas, asus "amazing" heatsink (rofl cheesy) and a couple other coolers.. but i thought i'd ask you guys before i spent any money.. Thanks ![]()

I would go with the ThermalRight 120 Ultra Extreme and a good 12cm fan with it, or else the Tuniq Tower.
That Zalman you quoted is good + nice looking ![]()

Once upon a time there was a really good heatsink called the...
"Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme (T.R.U.E)" The End.

I almost got a thermalright, but after reading many reviews I saw that the one I have performed very well for how cheap it is and it hasn't let me down. I'm OCed over 1GHz and never above 32 idle/55 load. The built in fan moves a lot of air when it kicks in. But then again I, unlike others, like the hum of my fans going. I hate dead silence.
