Default Building my friend a rig.. what heatsink

I am building my friend a rig in a CM690 with a E8400, but there is not enough wiggle room in the budget for a TRUE or else I would get that for him and I don't think he needs to overclock it higher than 3.6 so it is probably unnecessary..

anyways, I was thinking about the Artic Freezer 7 pro because it's pretty cheap

any suggestions?

Freezer 7 Pro, I have a friend with the same CPU and case - the fan on the ACF7P doesn't even spin up. The stock heatsink is laughably small, and the ACF7P is more than enough to cool it brilliantly.

Artic Freezer 7 pro should be fine. If budget is around $45-$50, get a Tuniq.

A Tuniq would be overkill for that CPU.

I'd shoot for a downdraft-style cooler - it seems like a waste to have that nice fan slot right over the processor and not use it. Not sure what units are good around that price though.
