Case Modder

Hey everyone,
__________________I own a Tuniq Tower 120-LFB and use it on a LGA775 motherboard. I installed the backplate and the tower perfectly, but then I had to RMA my motherboard. So I pried of the backplate in what seem to use all my strength. ![]() The backplate eventually came off but the sticky adhesive part stayed onto the motherboard and bits stay onto the backplate. I cleaned off the back plate so there was no more adhesive and sent away the motherboard. Now I have a new motherboard but can't install my backplate ![]() Does anyone know what that superglue/strong stick adhesive pad thing is called? OR where I can get a new backplate for my Tower? I already tried e-mailing Tuniq but they're useless ![]() Thanks!

90% isopropyl alcohol+rag+rubbing would have done the trick for removing the gunk off the motherboard... it should work fine for removing it off the backplate
Scotch brand double sided tape cut to shape will do the trick for reattaching the backplate onto your new motherboard - use 3 or so layers to make sure that the backplate is reasonably spaced from the back of the motherboard... alternatively, you could glue some foam to the backplate - there really is no reason for the backplate to be adhered to the motherboard unless you have no hand eye coordination ![]() Either way you shouldn't have any issues

They sale those pads like in Home depot or hardware store. Stick one side to the plate and use electric tape to hold the plate in place and screw in the tuniq. That way in the future if you have to take it out. It will be easier.
