Default New CPU cooler.

Hi,

My tuniq tower doesn't fit my case properly with the side fan so I need a new CPU cooler I was thinking a Zalman CNPS9700 NT CPU Cooler but im not sure if this is any good with quad cores.

I am fairly certain that the ocz vendetta 2 and xigmatek are taller than the tuniq so that wouldn't solve his issue. With a q6600 @ 3.2ghz I would think about maybe the 92mm xigmatek.

If you've got a side fan like that, I'd go for a downdraft-style cooler over a tower-style. Pick up the Noctua NH-C12P or Thermalright SI-128 SE instead. That way you'll have cold air from outside your case fed directly into your CPU cooler, instead of a tower cooler sucking up slightly warmer air from inside the case.

Oooorr... you could save yourself money and by just taking off the danged side fan

Seriously though... the side fan is there to supposedly help cooling.... now that you have one of the best air coolers, you want to trade it in for a crappier one - for the sole reason of keeping the side fan?? where's the logic behind that people!?

Ive changed the side fan so that the hot air from the GX2 get sucked straight out of the case so I need the side fan.
