The fact that it is one of the best air coolers in the market. The black version is just for eyecandy. The TRUE and black TRUE perform the same.

Yeah... it's just a great cooler. I have the xigmatek HDT-S1283 cooler, and it's close to the true and cheaper, but it's not a true

how hard is it to lap eather of the coolers?/ what grit paper should I stat with?

First check for flatness with a utility knife blade in many angles to see how much light you can see.Then start with a pc. of glass double face tape it to a table or bench.Tape the ends of sandpaper to glass.Start with 220 grit to save time and clean off the top layer,just go up 220,400,800,1000,1500,in a circlular motion,use blade to check often.Your going for flatness not really gloss.Just the basics go on youtube there are a few good showings there,imo
