Default I must brag about my lapping to someone lol!

It's not the best lapping ever, but it's a hell of a lot better than my first time. I must recommend greatpcstuff (ebay seller) who sold me 2 kits for $9 shipped with TIM. It turned out pretty good now I just have to try it out!

Neither look flat.

Great reflections, though

Looks like its off to a great start to me Could possibly use some polishing/final touches to the edges though.

I've been thinking about lapping my e8400, since I did it a while back to my e6600 with no troubles.

Yeah I had so much trouble with the main heatsink. It wobbled so much argh! I have no idea how you guys were able to get it so flat. The HR-03R is flat to the max and the cpu is sort of rounded on the edges a bit, but the contact point is flat.

Just to make sure use a utility blade and check all four corners if you see light its not flat. Its true some bigger heat sinks are a pain you need to let the weight of h-s do the work forceing it wont help.Like a true try upside down with a flat pc of narrow glass and try that.I did seems to work better havea pair of gloves tho just in case it breaks.
