Hmm, Everest stability test ran for about 40 minutes and it looks like it was sat at 67C for a fair while. 67 is still a bit too hot for my liking.

The reason OCCT temps fluctuate is the RAM testing part. Just select the drop down box on the to pleft and choose 'Custom' then select 'CPU' in the other drop down box. Result- No temp fluctuation and only the CPU is stressed.
EDIT: Lapping is really easy really, just need some free time and some wet'n'dry from Halfords (Ranging from 400-grit to 1000-grit - any higher is for e-peen).

Is that OCCT temp reading? That is inaccurate as well... run realtemp in the background and watch that.

Realtemp only monitors the core's though. I have it running and showing the average temp of all cores in the taskbar, though.
I'll try the OCCT settings on CPU and not mixed and post the results.

The way I see it is that as long as your core temps are low your t-case will be too.

Well, my tcase exceeds 70C often. Intel say the opposite. They say you should ignore the coretemps and concentrate on the tcase.
