I've used a push pull config with my Noctua, not only does it look TANKED OUT it dropped temps by about 2c using another NF-P12.

I've got the same one as you, also with a bolt-thru. I wish I had gone with the U12P as well. But then again, the S1283 is amazingly inexpensive for the performance you get.

No one seems to look at or buy the Noctu NH-U12P, i wonder why? Maybe marketing or what? It had good reviews all over the net, maybe is because of the price?

Especially when you get a nice mounting system and the best 120mm fan on the earth with it! That and it performs better than the TRUE with a high CFM fan!

On a side note i found this in a review of the NH C12P, they mention an upcomming NH E12P (Extreme) cooler, with the prospects of a supplied 38mm fan Sounds interesting, couldn't fin anything else on it but could be a real contender to the TRUE

I also think the author answers some of my questions in his conclusion

That was a stupid end to the review, if you ask me, he's talking about making the fins closer together, that's against the point of the Noctuna: quiet.
