im glad you did or else i would have never seen it. ive been thinking of upgrading my outdated big typhoon.

if my memory serves me correctly:

big typhoon < true < noctua

i also have 2 silverstone fm121 fans. would i be able to just put the fm121 on the other side of the noctua for a decent push/pull setup?

if i can sell my BT for ~$25 then its only ~$35 out of pocket for this thing. weird how 4 pipes > 6 pipes

Yeah you could run a crazy push/pull setup, but note that the fan clips will need to be tweaked a little bit since they aren't meant for fans with closed corners

Actually, both of my YL's are closed corners and they clipped on just as they should

When properly attached the clips will fit into the holes to hold it into place...impossible on the closed corners. Unless noctua has made a new type of clip, yours just happen to fit on happily. Mine do too, to be honest..but they are not how they are meant to be.

He mentioned an upcoming Noctua cooler, but the 38mm fan, 8mm heatpipes, etc. are all things he hopes to see and are in no way, shape or form an indication of what Noctua has planned. My guess is that Noctua is going the Thermalright route and just adding a few heatpipes to the NH-U12P, but I wouldn't be sad if I were wrong.

Then we became NH-U12F, which is not too different, and now, the NH-U12P. Again not too different, but more more elegant



Now we have the NH-C12 which I'm going to try to get my hands on
