If budget is an issue get the Xiggy. This heatsink is more of a "you've got lots of cash to blow" kinda thing
![]() However, once you own one...you feel really good about yourself

Get the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 as others have suggested if you want the cooler with the best bang for the buck.

I just got this cooler and i need some help. The base was no where close to flat when i got it (50C idle on stock clocks) so i lapped it today. Now with my OC of 3.3GHz and 1.32v, i'm still idling at 48,48,35,36 and loading at 69,69,58,56.
__________________Surely this can't be right? My old Thermaltake V1 had lower idle temps by 6-7C and only loaded 1-2C higher at the same OC.

Heh, don't have the U12P
Have the U9D. D? ![]() D is for Delta. However, the dual-deltas did not last long, and I found out the expensive way that a pair of 77CFM Deltas out-pace the U9 HS easily. <--Silly me half a year ago. Anyways, one of the Delta's proved top have a defective connection in the 3 pin connector, and it was retired from duty...(But has been gived the honor of being a prototype cooling fan on a 91 GSXR 750!) Anyways, as you can see, I went sort of overboard on the Noctua thing when I built this...but that was before the P12 fan. Instead, I got the S12 fans which, while extremely quiet...moved very little air when face with any sort of restriction. But you guys can have some mini-noctua porn anyways

Ok i think I've figured out why the idle temps are a bit more than the V1. The V1 had a high CFM fan on it, that was really loud, but the V1 sucked when the CPU was loaded up 100%. The Noctua has lower CFM fans, so the idle is higher, but the load temp is like 15C lower than the V1.

Haha, i have the stock fan pushing and one of my old thermaltake case fans pulling. Temps seem good though...right now i'm stressing 3.4GHz and i'm getting max load temps of 66,66,58,57.

Maybe put the high-cfm pushing and low-cfm pulling, from what I've heard temps should be more around 55, no?
