It's got a pretty good base already, but if you're going to be lapping your CPU you might aswell give it a go while you're doing it.

Oh my gosh! The NH-U12P apparently performs better than the TRUE with a high-speed fan! http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.ph...&limitstart=14

Although this is probably with a non-lapped TRUE, it's still amazing.

That makes me very pleased to see. You are right, none of the coolers were modified, so they all would have the stock finish on the base. I may have to invest in a 88cfm Yate Loon, then. For only 9 bucks, it doesn't hurt as much if I hate how loud it is and set it aside.
