i have a lapped Q6600 & TRUE and the temps are always 5c apart on 2 cores

ive tried loads of remounts and all it does it change what cores are 5c apart
for example first mount looked like this 38,33,38,33
then i remounted and it was 38,38,33,33
and somtimes its 38,33,33,38

do you think its a bad lap job

i lapped them both up to 1200 grit starting out on 200,600,800,1000
and it appears flat when i put a metal ruler to it

my Q6600 is at 3.6 @ 1.39v but i still get the 5c variance at stock

It's normal.My dual and quad's have never been the same temp for each core.Ever chip you buy is differnt.Some will clock high.Some wont.

Very much normal. I had the same question at first, but I haven't seen a quad w/ even temps accross all 4 cores yet.

Same here both lapped, I get about 5 to 8 at idle and about 2 to 4 under load. My cores 0 & 1 are always hotter.

Mine are even more out-of-whack than yours. I think your numbers look pretty damn good.
