Shin Etsu I believe is the new king though AS5 is always a solid performer. As to application, not too much...a pea-sized amount in the middle I believe has always been the way to go though I recall a change to this to suit the dual and quad cores. Guys?

Thanks I will be getting that Thermal Paste. When applying that thermal paste I only apply it to the CPU and then I put my OCZ Vendetta 2 on top of the CPU (but it should not have thermal paste applied ?)

That is just their testing, but the only way to see what is the best way for you is by just doing a little experimenting yourself with maybe some cheaper TIM paste. But good luck... it may get messy

I Agree Shin Etsu is just about the same as MX-2 ,you wont go wrong with either one,imo
