i have a zalman 9700 led on my quad, cools it just fine. nothing special though, i definitely regret jumping the gun and spending 75 bucks on it instead of doing my research and buying a TRUE. the zalman is definitely a high quality heatsink though. i ended up with a bunch of cuts on my knuckles after my installation.

I recommend OCZ Vendetta 2. I hear mounting it is horrible but its a top notch heatsink+fan.

i have heard good things about the vendetta 2...but have no experience with it. my zalman does the trick pretty well even during these hot summer months with 80 degree ambient temps

I'm on a q6600 with my Vend 2, 1.3125 vcore, 100% load and with a fan under 500rpm, 28c ambient temp, I get 42c~. With the fan on 3000rpm it's under 40c. 3005.59MHz, 333.95 x 9.00.

BTW, I don't know what people are talking about, mounting is a pain. I found it extremely easy. I was prepped and ready to go for a hardcore install, and I got it on in under 2minutes, with no push-pins popping back out. Just hold the vendetta 2 down with a bit of pressure, and push them in. It's really not that hard. Install it before mobo is in the case though.

I vote for the Vendetta 2. The pushpins I wasn't thrilled with. I installed mine with a TR LGA775 Bolt-Thru kit.
