They help keep my RAM sticks comfortable to the touch compared to them feeling like they were melting. Perfect for when your sticks are close to one another.

It's a great little cooler, although I must warn you.

It might be just mine, but when I have had the computer turned off for a while, and the room gets cold, then when I power on the computer again I get a horrible noise of the fans scraping against the side. I presume it's something to do with the expanding/contracting of the metal. It goes away after a few minutes though while it warms up again

Just make sure it can fit on your motherboard.... the mounting method may be too close to the video card.

I had to stop using mine due to this.

It works with smaller cards, but when I had my 8800GTS 640MB it was too large.

I was thinking about getting one of theses.. It says for DDR1 and 2, would this work on a DDR3 mobo? my specs are in my sig.
