I've been using the HDT-S1283 for a couple of months and just found this this thread.
__________________CPU Information: Phenom II X4 940 Deneb * Clock Speed: 1300 (low P state) to 3500 (performance) * Vcore: 1.1 to 1.325 * Ambient: 24 @ night, 29 daytime (Palm Springs...) * Idle: 32 * Load: 49 * Comments: A. I used IC Diamond 7 thermal paste, and have had great results. Probably will remount in a few weeks just to see if I did a good job (used the suggests from benchmark reviews about making lines). As happy as I am with the performance, I have to mount the fan facing up, towards the top of the case, which is OK because I have an Antec 900, so it aims towards exhaust, but I would like the choice to install towards back, more powerful ACRyan Blackfire4 fan -- does anyone know of a mod kit that will allow me to mount at a 90 degree angle from how it is supposed to be on an AM2 board? (GA-MA790X-UD4P). Thanks,

Was thinking of trying a push-pull setup. Anyone have experience with that. What kind of results did you see?
