Xigmatek HDT-S1283 Owners List:

In order to keep this chart organized and complete I would ask that you provide the following information if you would like to be added to the list:
  • CPU Information: (ie Q6600)
  • Clock Speed: (ie 3600 mhz)
  • Vcore: (ie 1.40v)
  • Ambient (*C): (ie 24)
  • Idle (*C): (ie 41)
  • Load (*C): (ie 65)
  • Comments: (ie if you replaced the fan (indicate which fan you are now using))

Configuration #1
  • CPU Information: E8400 C0 Q815
  • Clock Speed: 3.75GHz
  • Vcore: 1.2v load (1.225v BIOS, 1.216v idle).
  • Ambient (*C): 28C
  • Idle (*C): 41C
  • Load (*C): 60C
  • Comments: Lapped to 600 grit. Passively cooled/no fan. Tested with Prime 95 v25.6, small FTTs. Temps measured with Realtemp 2.60 and CoreTemp 0.99 calibrated to a 95C tJmax. 100% stable.


Configuration #2
  • CPU Information: E8400 C0 Q815
  • Clock Speed: 4.1GHz
  • Vcore: 1.32v load (1.3625v BIOS, 1.356v idle).
  • Ambient (*C): 26C
  • Idle (*C): 45C
  • Load (*C): 70C
  • Comments: Lapped to 600 grit. Passively cooled/no fan. Tested with Prime 95 v25.6, small FTTs. Temps measured with Realtemp 2.60 and CoreTemp 0.99 calibrated to a 95C tJmax. 100% stable.

Xeon X3350 Quad tests coming soon.

EDIT: I should also note that I am using a bolt through kit, so that should be added to the comments.

Here's mine. Just know that the B2 stepping of this proc is known for getting pretty hot.
  • CPU Information: E6600 (B2 stepping)
  • Clock Speed: 3465MHz
  • Vcore: 1.42v
  • Ambient (*C): 25 C
  • Idle (*C): 45 C
  • Load (*C): 63 C
  • Comments: I replaced the stock fan with a Noctua NF-P12. Nice and quiet.

I've been looking at this heatsink also for my new build. I know it wasn't made to support two fans, but do you guys think there's a way to ghetto mount a second fan, or whether or not a second fan would even help for that matter ?
