If you don't have the fan already and are planning on purchasing one, I wouldn't bother with the replacement... it's a waste of $10 since you won't see dramatic drops.... I would put that cash aside and save up for something like a xigmatek hdt-s1283

Like killa said, insted of wasting your money on a 60 mm fan or a duct and a 80 mm fan, go with a better cooler all together. I went to radio shack and got the TT blue orb for $22, and it cools so much better than stock.

Default Air Flow

Also,

With your case double check and make sure you have a decent air flow pulling that hot air out.

A decent HSF will help as long as its seated correctly. Take your time....

I got mine down quickly. It takes so much pressure because the screws had springs, and it was hard to reach the bracket rails.

I would recommend taking the mobo out, and using the foam that came with the mobo as padding if you still have the packaging, so nothing gets damaged during the installation.

The Xigmatek 1283 like Killa said is a great cooler for your computer, its one of the best out there and only $27 after $10 rebate add another $7 if you want to get the retention bracket.

The TRUE is great as long as it's lapped. TR's having some serious convex base issues that they won't admit. They keep saying that because most CPU IHSes are concave, the convex base would provide better temps. However, almost everyone has reported that after lapping, their temps got even better.
