How did you remove the pins lol? I wasn't able to remove any with just my fingers so is there a special way or am I pathetic?

Wow! Nice to see you got your comparison done!

Results were as expected, bolt-thru is a much more efficient cooling system.

Great thread idea

But I only have two hands...

I remember trying that because it's what seemed obvious but I would have one hand holding the black part, another one pulling one end of the pin and then I'm missing a hand to pull it apart, lol. Maybe I didn't try between my knees yet...

Yep i hate those Push Pins. I like my AMD Rigs Cooling as its alot easyer to setup. I have a Bolt Kit on my Xigmatek right now.

I have a regular 92mm vendetta and the thermalright kit, do you guys think I should file the standoffs down a little I took the pad off to get some more pressure but im thinking its still not enough now that I see this.

Maybe the plastic pad (that's what you mean, right?) was taken off by accident. I didn't know i wasn't supposed to take mine off, but it's really not hard to position back on.

I don't know about the filing, by the way. I'm a bit curious too. I think maybe the holes on the Vendetta 2 where you would put the pins are a bit higher so it would make it easier to screw in? That's my guess.

By the way, anyone know if this will work without filing? I have the bolt thru kit ready for my vendetta 2, but am waiting on my new motherboard before I bother. Is it necessary?
