Hey OCN,

Id like to know if i can LAP the new Xigmatek? Ive lapped the AMD 6000+ its it getting 60C under load (3.5Ghz @ 1.66v) It was 63C load before laping so it was pretty good but i think it can be better with the Xigmatek lapped to!

Yes you can.. But may I ask why? Mine seems to be as close to perfrectly flat as you can get..

Lap away corey..... Looks can be very deceiving

On My Enzotech Extreme-X ( which has one of ,if not the best finish on the market (Mirror) it looked and felt flat.. Little did I know it was not untill I lapped th thing...temps dropped more and all was well.

So get to it Corey lap that thing

I would lap id the heat pipes n aluminum next them are uneven to get the even.

You should be able to unless your bore through the heat pipes.

lol.. yes and no, all depends on ur xig tho if its flat or not flat.. Most xigmateks come with a real flat surface dude, test to see if its flat with a razor, if it aint then lap away! heres some good kits if u dont already know! www.easypckits.com

The metal between the heatpipes is taller then the pipes so i neeed to sand them down level! I have lapped the CPU to a mirro with the 2000 Grit paper!

Ive lapped the Xig and the AMD to a mirror finsh and its not geting any better temps! im thinking they are worse! AC id up a litle higher though!
