It would of only have been a 1-2 degree difference anyway.

Yeah, I reseated my AC7 with AS5 recently, and noticed a 2-3C gain in load temps.

Same here, I listened to the first couple of posts and wiped it off. Oh well it's only a couple of degrees.

As has already been said it is MX-2 which is good stuff. My only gripe with Arctic cooling is that they put soo much of it on. On my old freezer 7 there was so much it splurged out all 4 sides. Not a real gripe but it still worked very well indeed.

I am glad I read this thread, as the cooler just came in yesterday and didn't wipe the MX-2.

I managed to stable my Q6600 @ 1.38v with this cooler @ 59C after 6 hours of stress testing @ 3.3 ghz. How far mroe can I go with this cooler?

you wont be able to go a lot further with the AF7P. I had my AF7P and it took my cpu to 4ghz but my temps were on the higher side but still within the safe range. My CPU can go further than 4ghz but the AF7P limited me because of temps. AF7P is a great budget cooler but dont expect it to perform like a TRUE or Vendetta2. (after the AS5 on my TRUE is cured i am gonna try to push my cpu to 4.2-4.3ghz since my temps definetly allow it.)

You have any proof of that? Like a screenshot or something? Seems very hard to believe that you're getting those kinds of load temps on a cooler that doesn't really stand up to a 65nm quad well at all (what's your ambient temp?). You won't be able to go too much farther regardless...but i still want to see a screeny!
