Default Which Cooler?

The TRUE vs XIGMATEK HDT-S1284EE vs the Noctua U12P. I don't care about price just want the best. And I don't really want to lap if I dont have to.

Xigmatek 1283 is miles better then the 1284, because the heatpipes are closer to the core. Other then that, the True if you are willing to lap, 1283 for price, but i dont know anything about the noctua

I had heard that about the 1283. Seems like I can get it for 20 bucks at Micro center.

Get the TRUE. If you don't want to lap it yourself, order it from xoxide.com (no affiliation). They have a lapping option (under $20 I think).

The TRUE is better but if you want the one that cost less the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 it is.

I would want to get the Black edition? or the regular? Also what fans should I get should I get 2 of these. And I dont see an option for lapping at xoxide.

Scythe S-Flex 120mm Fan - High Speed (SFF21F)

Would this be better then the TRUE?

The reviews that show the Noctua performing better have the CPU at stock for tests. They should OC the CPU and raise the vcore to show high the cooler does under higher wattages.

From what I have seen in properly done tests, the TRUE is still the best.
