I was wondering if it was worth it to replace the stock thermal paste on my northbridge FHS... Since my Vid card and Cpu both have the Artic Silver 5. I dont really have any problems but Im goofy...Just want the coolest I can get...Plus its a no cost option..

You might as well. I doubt it will help much though.

yep it can help a tadge if upping the nb voltage or if using a passiuve hsf, and you should see a 5* decrease in temp

It has a fan on it...actually its pretty high RPM like over 5000rpm...Doesnt make much noise though...
ALso, is the PWM temp in my bios the same as my Northbridge temp?

I doubt theres a NB temp in your bios. Also, if you added thermal compound, and your case has good airflow, you can probably remove the northbridge fan alltogather. Your case will be slightly quieter.

I dont think it will help out, since you already have AS5 on...
but depends how long youve had it on?

Well, there is no AS5 on the northbridge heatsink, thats stock from the factory...
Actually, the xp-90 and fan blow directly down onto the northbridge...But, I probably wont remove the fan...Like I said, its really not that noisy... Why is that I have an RPM guage for the NB and no temp sensor...That just seems goofy to me...So the put the temp sensor on the PWM??

I'd go for it !! If you're OCed the NB will produce more heat and as we all know AS5 kicks the SH@T out of the factory stuff they use.
