Aight man, I got my pantyhose and Veclro!

GO!

Now how the hell did you do it? I guess I'll figure it out, I'm gonna run it along the inside.

A guy buying pantyhose at the supermarket is a funny thing. I went last night and realized when I got home that I bought knee highs.

Ooops!

Second time, pantyhose. I got some really funny looks both times.

What we do for our rigs.

hmm Maybe I should just get a BIG piece and stick it to the SIDE of my case, since I don't have the tools to cut a 120mm hole in the side of my P182 to install an exhaust fan near my GPUs

hurray for open case and dusty wonders

that reminds me. I run an open case, but I still have the filters on the front intakes!

If I ask my wife for her panty hose or stockings I can just see my life going right down the tubes.
But you do have a goo idea there.

Just tell her to give you the old leftovers when she needs new panty hose.

On a side note, I have an air purifier already, so I'm curious what pointing it at the case (also to help move air) will do.

the HAF is like a bloody dust collector! i know that first hand :P though i dont think filters would be smart, they will catch too much. i rather just use compressed air to clean out the inside every now and then.

Default Excellent idea

I just might go get some stockings on my lunch break.

I might have to go with sheer or white though...my case has a clear plastic side panel with built-in vents.

I did something similar with my old all-metal case...used a ruined shirt, made an airtight frame using popsicle sticks and that adhesive-backed magnetic stuff, so I could just flick the filters off to get a sudden cooling boost.

Now I can't give you airflow readings since I have no way to measure that but what I can tell you is that none of my temps changed and there is a ton of dust that didn't make it into my case. Here is what I used: nylon stockings, some velcro, a pair of scissors, and a lint roller to clean it off every so often. I know this sounds ghetto (and it is ) but it works.
Pic one - my amazing supplies minus the velcro since I used it all
Pic two - is the nylons stretched over the side of my case, the gray area is all the dust!!
just thought I would share in case some one was looking for a decent and cheap solution to help keep there case free of dust, hair and what ever else some of you guys with the crazy cfm fans might suck in
Actually how did you install the pantyhose on the intakes with the velcro? I just cant figure it out.

Maybe someone can put up a guide on this? lol
