hmm i thought i remember reading a review where the Xigmatek 4 pipe cooler actually performed worse then the 3 pipe S1283, if i remember right they blamed the poor performance to the staggered heat pipes. ill see if i can dig it up. but the TRUE will beat both of the Xigmateks no doubt, it might be by a small margin but they are beat. although the xig is quite a bit cheaper, you decide if those few degrees are worth the cash.

xigmatek's with a bol-through kit are very, VERY good coolers. especially for the price.
unless you have a quad at +1.4v, a xigmatek is perfect. although i recommend the S-1283 over the S-1284EE due to the HDT design. they are much more effective with an ODD number of heatpipes so one of the exposed pipes is in the middle of the CPU. with 4 heatpipes it kind of straddles it.

This fixes the true mounting. A simple washer for 40 cents at home depot.

Mocha, everyone has said get a TRUE. Even I say get a TRUE since it will perform better under higher wattages and heat. So stop leaning towards the Xigmatek when everyone disagrees with that.
Here's one of the methods for allowing a better mount:
