Nice! At that voltage its gotta get hot FAST!!!!!! Pioneerisloud is all about the xigmatek. hes running a opty 165 (1.8x2) @ 3.2ghz, cant remember his voltage but its fairly high like 1.5v and he doesnt see any higher than 62*C @ 100% load. As for the true, it would seriously piss me off if I paid $60+ and it doesnt mount to the board right. Then I either have to get a penny or a washer to fix it. F>>K THAT! They need to get it right.

I'd go for a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 and a bolt-thru kit.
Yeah, after lapping and a washer/penny mod a TRUE will be a few ฐC cooler than a S1283, but it costs a lot more: TRUE - $51.95 Lapping Kit - $13.99 Scythe SY1225SL12SH - $8.99 Penny - $0.01 ------------------------------ Subtotal (TRUE) - $74.94 Xigmatek HDT-S1283 - $36.99 ($26.99 if you do the MIR) Bolt-Thru Kit - $6.99 ------------------------------ Subtotal (HDT-S1283) - $43.98 ($33.98 if you do the MIR) A TRUE setup costs $30.96 more than a HDT-S1283 setup, and if you do the MIR, it costs $40.96 more.

Get the TRUE is you're aiming for 3.6-3.8ghz. If you're ok with 3.4-3.6ghz, save your money and get the S1283.

It is sad. My stock heat sink with a $12fan performed better than the $60 thermaltake V1 I bought.

None of those reviews were well done. Especially Frostytech : TRU beats TRU? SCCF is the best? Always trust popular opinion IFX-14 beats it by 7C, so TRUE beats it by 7C. That's with the same fans and with bolt-thru kit on the Xiggy. Stock it would be much bigger difference. For a Quad you would want a new fan on the Xiggy to keep it within livable temps once overclocked to 3.6, so that plus the mounting kit makes the monetary difference quite a bit shorter. And yes 7C would be with the TRUE lapped, of course. Didn't come to mind right away that some people don't lap Proof in a second... .....here we go: http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...1283-true.html Made by real people, not rushed, underinformed bloggers. (Although BM is OK for non-cooling reviews)

And then you have some guy try to tell you to buy it because it looks awesome and keeps his quad nice and cool at 65C and 3.2ghz...
