yeah, i was surprised to see CM make a good fan, it seems most companys make fail fans unless thats their only real business lol

those fans are beast and what im wanting to get
the plastic is dark so the LEDs arent too in your face, but get the point across
they blow a bunch of air and are quieter than tweis tricools at medium

i am really considering getting 3 of them like tonight lol

I picked up 2 TriCools at Circuity City last week for $20, which I thought was a decent deal. The CC by me doesn't have any left, but you should check one nearby (if any).

I use 5 TriCool's on Medium and the noise isn't that bad for the amount of cooling that they provide.

Cheap (under $5 each if you buy 3 or more), no weird sounds except for whooshing air when they're at full speed, and throttle back nicely with a fan controller for nearly silent operation.

I have 4 in my case and love 'em. I also have a blue LED Antec Tricool and it's noticebly louder than my Yates dialed to 1000 RPM while on the "low" setting.
I have 10 of these in my case, they flow air like a rocket but at full speed they sound like a rocket

but I put them on a fan controller and I love em

I have 3 XIGMATEK XLF-F1253 and I like them. They aren't too loud and it seems like they push a good amount of air.

If you look at the fan review over on xtremesystems the jabtech fans prove to be louder and very poor performance even compared to the claimed identical fan from petras which totally outclasses the jabtech yates. Do a search and you will find the benchmarks.

You might be "ok" with your yates but the fact is you would most likely get better performance and less noise with the real ones from petra's.
I've read all those tests. They proved that the fans vary between production batches.

Show me a review where the production dates are identical (same month and year) and I'll buy into it. But until that, chalk it up to production variances in a Chinese factory that makes cheap parts.
