My AC Freezer 64 Pro has my CPU temps at 36-39c, which is about 5 degrees hotter than with my stock cooler. What gives?

Your CPU cooler can read CPU temps?
What are the load temps? Those are the ones that matter.

that's not supposed to be right. it should be bringing already down to 28ish for idle and less than 40 on load. are you sure placed it well?

Well AC claims to drop stock temps by 10c at least, let alone load temps... Maybe I should try another CPU Temp Monitor...any good recommendations? Thats the only thing I'm afraid of...I placed it as well as it would go. I made sure it was firm and the latch down all the way. I'd hate to have to redo it...its such a pain in the butt.

check at load
idle means nothing and the sensors arent accurate at idle its a hardware thing

Ok, rechecked my CPU temps with SpeedFan, they seem to be reading a lot more accurately.

Is it a Brisbane core? I believe they have bad sensors. And can't give an opinion without load temps.

Stock cooling temps were at 32-34C using Core-Temp. After new motherboard install and new video card, Core-Temp read CPU's at 36-39C. This didn't make sense, so I downloaded SpeedFan which gave me a more sensible reading of 27-28C. Should I still know if its working right without load temps? I need a way to verify the Freezer is doing its job.

for one that speedfan pic showed that the fan was only spinning at 7rpm which is very slow and idle temps aren't really that important try occt and get load temps
