Default Fans and fan controller

Ok so i've been out of the PC game for a little while now and im building my first PC in 2 years.

Im having a terrible time trying to work out which fans will work with what fan controller.

Im looking at Noctua NF-P12 120mm Fan and the NZXT Sentry LX LCD Meter .

Can any one steer me in the right direction or even show me a post that explains about fans. my head is starting to hurt.

Such a noob question

Get some cheap and nice Yate Loons from here. I'd go with the 33dbA if you care about noise. You can't go wrong with this fan controller.

The 2 products you have listed will work just fine with each other. I am not a big fan of that fan controller, but they will work together just fine. The controller you have will work with just about any case fan you can find, with the exception of really high CFM fans.

If I were you, I would look into a more rugged fan controller. That NZXT is all show and no go. Here are a few I would recommend.

And if you want to save a few bucks on a fan, get this one. It is almost as silent as the Noctua, and moves just about the same amount of air. I own both, and decided that Noctua fans just aren't worth the extra price vs the Enermax.

the specs on the standard fans that come out of the Coolermaster CM690 case are Speed: 1200 RPM
Airflow: 44.03 CFM
Noise: 19.8 dBA

Maybe im better off just buying a few more of these...

Cheap as in excellently priced, not as in poor quality.
