Razors? Really? My Noctua would never dare cut me. The fins are smooth as a a baby's powdered bottom
Chris, what did you use to get between the fins? The best solution I have found is to use pipe cleaners.

This reminds me when I had to take apart one of our computers which sits in a room where both my parents smoke. The fan smelled like cigarettes BLEH, it had this nasty gunk on it. The other "stuff" it hasn't come in contact with but maybe its time to improve it a few JIGA HERTZ. LOL
