Nope, that all looks good, though just a small question; would you do the fan tests with one fan each, or with push-pull on each? Whichever you did, would it be fine to do both single fan and push-pull for those tests?
What about a yate loon on the TRUE for "out of box" test? I don't have an S-Flex, but I do have a yate loon 120mm fan laying here.

Was planning on doing single fan runs with all 3 speeds, and push-pull on the low and med speed fans.

Yeah, the Yate Loon would work, too.

Why not push-pull on the high-speed fans?

Because I don't have 2 San Ace 1011's and they're about impossible to find and $25 a pop plus shipping when you do find them. It has so much static pressure I have a feeling that push pull won't even make a difference.

What about using newer San Aces? I would try this and see how well the newer designs work compared to the H1011.

If someone wants to loan me one, yeah sure. That's gonna be over $25 for one fan once you factor in tax and shipping. I really don't have a use for another san ace fan lol.

Lol...

I was going to say. Looking at your sig rig I was like... DAMN.

I think I just reached the upper limit on my chip. I'm at 1.47v (or something close) in BIOS to get 3.51ghz. I'm pretty happy about it though for such a high vid. I think I got a very good chip. The chip only gets about 1.39v (load) - 1.44v (idle) in windows though due to vdroop/drop.

I think I could probably push it to 3.6ghz without much a problem... but I'm nervous about feeding the CPU more than 1.5volts in BIOS.

TRUE

Tests (i suppose all can be done in case and out of case)

1) Out of box performance, using the included fan with the noctua and xig. (what fan should i use on the TRUE for this test?)
2) All coolers stock with low/med/high speed fans
3) All coolers lapped with low/med/high speed fans
4) All coolers lapped and pressure modded with low/med/high speed fans

Too many tests? I leave anything out?

For the TRUE I would use the Yate Loon you said you have around.

Between the YL's the Scythe's and the Noctua Fans... I feel like they are all relatively comparable. Obviously some people prefer one over the other... but ultimately I don't think there is a big difference between them when it comes to performance.

I think you could save yourself some time though. Since the people who are going to upgrade fans... will likely not be leaving their coolers stock... I think you could save yourself some time and ONLY test the coolers with UPGRADED fans after lapping.

I think you could do this:

First: (open air STOCK tests...)
1. Unlapped TRUE (YL Fan)
2. Unlapped Noctua (Noc Fan)
3. Unlapped Xig (Xig Fan)

Second: (in-case STOCK tests)
1. Unlapped TRUE
2. Unlapped Noctua
3. Unlapped Xig

Third: (High-Med-Low Fan tests)
1. Lapped True
2. Lapped Noctua
3. Lapped Xig

Fourth: (High-Med-Low & Push-Pull tests)
1. Fully Modded TRUE
2. Fully Modded Noctua
3. Fully Modded Xig

I think this will save you some time... and still give a COMPLETE review of what these coolers can really do with a REAL chip... being REALLY overclocked. =)

Hmm...I like those testing methods better. It makes since not to waste time with aftermarket fans without lapping, as you're right, most who do one will do the other.

I'll think about the San Ace fan...i just don't want to be out a lot of money for this test.

EDIT, and FYI that San Ace will cost me $38 shipped.
