Are You going to test them only on already clocked CPU or do clocked (3.8 if I saw right) and stock? I am only asking because I do not think I saw it in posts earlier.

I'm going to test them only with the CPU overclocked. I want the good coolers to really shine and leave any pretenders by the wayside. A lot of what I read says the Xig can't handle a highly OCed quad. We shall see.

Well I have a pretty good OC on my chip (considering the VID) and my Dark Knight does a pretty damn good job. Especially considering what I paid.

That being said... I'm sure the Noctua and TRUE will beat it out... by how much... is the real question.

As for my previous offer... $38 is more than I'm willing to spend on a fan... but like you said... I think Push-Pull with the san ace is really just not necessary.

Further... since you will be testing these with the same fans... it's not like one cooler will get a push-pull setup... where another won't.

I think you should stick the methodology that I listed on page 4.

You're lucky and have a Q6600 that actually runs cool, unlike my inferno of a chip :P

Yeah i'll just stick to the one san ace fan then, like you said, it won't give one an advantage over the other.

Just had a thought. Is it even a good idea to lap the Xig? It's HDT and i'm not sure if that's a good idea, but it would kinda mess up the tests if i couldn't lap it.
