Default 9800 GT Cooling Issues

Now that i just got my core 2 duo a few days ago i can now run crysis on all high settings. Even with fan speed 100 % it gets up to 65-70 degrees C. and the game will lock up and get artifacts after ten minutes. I get around 35-45 fps which is good. Is the high settings just to much for the card and over heats it? How can i fix this i want to play crysis. The card is also over clocked. 600 core to 650 , 1500 shader to 1650 , and 900 mem to 1000 (2000 effective).

Thanks for your help.

Is it a single or dual slot cooler? For a single slot cooler that sounds about right...

If it's bothering you that much, grab a Thermaltake DuOrb cooler and put it on. Though the 8800GT/9800GT can handle temps up to around 95C

Yeah if you want to "fix" it, grab an aftermarket cooler. The single slot is horrible.

I agree with the DuOrb its got enough overhang for the fan and heatsink to hit the memory usually.

Here it is at Amazon for $41 Free Shipping
