Well I got my hammer today. Ive got 2 different xigmatek fans: The stock one that came with my S1283 that moves 56CFM, I also have a 61CFM fan. Can I use these in a push pull setup? If not what are some good fan's I could use?

You want some High static pressure fans like these.
You can also look at Yate Loon fans Delta Panaflo

Tator Tot recommended some excellent fans. The problems with your fans are that the CFM is too low, low static pressure, and the fans aren't identical. What happens is the higher cfm fan will cause the lower cfm fan to strain to "keep up" and will cause the fan to prematurely fail. Since your fans are pretty close in cfm I doubt it would effect it much, but it's important to get 2 identical fans for optimal results.

Kinda iffy if 38mm will fit because of my dominator ram being so tall. Although I could just move it to channel B.

i would not recommend the slip streams as their static pressure isn't too great.
sanyo denkis are great too.

Here is a good def of static pressure! In real simple terms it has to do with how much pressure the fan can generate before air flow will stop. So with a higher static pressure fan the better it can move air through a restricted space with less impact on CFM!

![]() Noctua fans do not have close to a good amount of pressure. They're meant for silent computing. Good 38mm fans: http://www.newark.com/sanyo-denki/9g...fan/dp/96M1755 ^^ That's just an example, Sanyo lists accurate specs on their site which show the static pressure for each fan. - Panaflo - Delta - EBMPapst Good 25mm: - Scythe S-Flex - Scythe Kama Flex - NMB/Scythe Minebea - Yate Loons (use sleeve bearings though) - Sanyo Denki - Delta
