I need a cpu cooler for my new computer and its probably going to run very hot. i am vexed at what will hold up the best against high temperatures. the V10's tec seems nice, but the New duel fan Noctua u12 is also good. Should i fork over the extra $50 to go to water cooling from the V10 or Noctua? Budget is a max of 200 for the cooling. processer is an AM2 6400+ 3.2 overclocking as much as i can go and still be stable. Case is a tiny tiny bit smaller than the armor series but has duel 240mm fans running well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What CPU are you going to use? What case do you have? What budget do you have?
I'd say without info go for the Noc.

noctua, you won't be able to get temps to the red in safe voltages with it.

If your budget is $200, get yourself a decent water kit, or have someone piece one together in the water cooling forum.
If you are hesitant to go water, I would say the Noctua or TRUE. V-10s are weak. Don't even consider it.

I'd say get an Xigmatek S128 its basically a knock off TRUE and then get a good fan for it... I use ultra Kazes... it'll keep that processor in check no sweat...

I'd say get the Mugen 2 for $40. I have one on my i7 and it's great. The base is mirror flat. Temps equal to the TRUE.

v10 is not even worth discussing about. Noctua VS water:
Water is always going to be better if you have a decent set up. Noctua is really good for air cooling. I suggest you get that over the v10. Or maybe get a nice Vigor Monsoon III. the Vigor sometimes beats the Noctua and TRUE in performance test.
