Default E8500 w/Dark Knight

Have a question concerning my temps on my recently installed dark knight,
Before was a freezer7 pro, that kept my mild overclock to 3.6 around 40ish on idle. Now with the Knight my ambient temp is a few degrees lower but idle temps are pretty much the same as the 7pro.
However, did run prime95 for about 2 hours to see load temps and it never went past 51c, with the knight.
Im just wondering if that is a good temp for that cpu/cooler combination or is there more I can do. I know the fan that came with the knight dosen't push much air at all, could changing that out make a larger difference?, although the black with white led's does look nice
Thanks

That is great temps.. 51c on load for 2 hours.. I wouldn't expect more out of it after 8 hours but maybe 1-2c. Nice! Idle temps don't mean much, its the load temps you wanna be concerned about. I think you can push that chip way farther than 3.6, to at least 4.0

Thanks,I've been thinking about upping the clock, just seeing how it ran for a few days first, also my first time using a bolt-through instead of pushpins, and the little rubber anti-vibration thingys on the fan were a pain to get on and off and on again I think i slightly bent a fin or 2

Its ok if you bent the heatsink fins a little a bit when installing the rubberstrips. I did the same thing with my Vendetta 2. It doesn't effect its ability's at all. Best of luck with the overclock!

A quick tip for future re-installs with those vibration isolating rubber "thingys" ---
Carefully put them on the heatsink, then just position the fan in place and get the tips of each "thingy" poking through the holes on the fan corners-
Then just grab them with some needle-nosed pliars and PUUULLLLL!!!!!
(will also help slightly if you moisten them first!)
It may seem that you have to really tug on them a fair bit
- but a bit of wiggling and they pop right through!
-and that rubber IS incredibly resiliant so unless you're unneccesarily giving them a real manly heave-ho they'll be just fine!
Cheers Mate

I'm glad you like your DK- That mount bracket assembly is brilliant YES!?

Nice temps too! now get on with that 4.0!!!!
Cheers
