Default Which fans for T.R.U.E?

I bought a thermalright ulta 120 extreme and i was under the impression that the darn thing would come with fans. Well, it didnt lol. Which blue led fans would you use if you were using the T.r.u.e? I need the fans to have their own mounting hardware as well, cause i don't think my true came with any.Any suggestions? Please help out a noob...

Your TRUE should have come with fan clips. Anyways, there really aren't any good LED fans for the TRUE, only one I would recommend is this one. http://www.svc.com/zm-f3bl.html

You're better off with 38mm fans such as Delta, Sanyo, Panaflo and EBMpapst.

The TRUE120 is a great cooler no matter what fans you use it more depends on your sound handling capability's. I suggest something from Scythe, Noctua, or SilenX. All are great just depends on how much you want to spend on them too.

Hey question I am looking into getting a TRUE the 70 buck one with the one fan. But I see the Noctua se lga1366 for the same price with 2 fans. It has same design except the 2 heat pipes you get extra on the thermalright. I don't know which on to get. Help please.

O yah I plan on Overclocking now I have a thermal take v1 fan all copper with a 110 mm fan, and I got my i7 920 clocked at 3.53 with load temps in LinX of 80 after 2 hours, hoping TRUE or Nocuta will knock those down so I can push my 920 even more

What seperates the TRUE from other coolers in my experience is that it scales with better fans. So the faster fan you put on it, the better your cooling will be. With other coolers I've used, you hit a point of diminishing return where the increase in noise doesn't get any real gain in cooling. The true never seems to cap out (or at least not before my noise tolernace does).

38mm thick instead of the 28 or whatever it is. and Kaze w fc is awesome on my xig so i guess it would be awesome on a true, i keep it at 1200rpm and i never break 30c, at 3k i hardly break 20 on my oc right now at 2.56 since im running Igp atm.

benny...I bought the TRUE and a 120mmx38mm fan, and I LOVE IT.

I also used zip ties.

the added thickness to the fan is for static pressure.

http://www.overclock.net/5620230-post45.html

my post of it.

get a high flow 38mm fan, and you will only need one for amazing temps.

with your case, and the fans on it, a 46db rated fan or slightly higher would be a lot quieter on the inside of the case. My 46db fan is quieter then every fan in my pc after its inside my desk.

There are many quirks and secrets to the fan setups on a TRUE
