Everything on the pinnacle sight is really expesive (ddr2 for $300 also). They must be selling some sort of bulk packages.

A lot of people search for OEM parts by part number and don't know/care to source a cheaper replacement. If you spend enough time looking you'll find 128 Meg CF cards for $350+ dollars, and DDR memory upgrades for $700, it's pretty crazy, but those people make a killing because people will pay those prices without a second thought.
