Default Dark Knight-S1283V with i7 920

Anyone have any experience using this cooler with an i7 920? I'm going to do some mild overclocking. Probably not anything too aggressive. Is the Noctua NH-U12P that big of an improvement? Thanks for the input.

For mild overclocking it should be fine. Yeah, your temps might be a LITTLE lower with the Noctua or the TRUE, but you'll be fine with the Xigmatek. HDT like the Xiggy and Vendetta 2 are great coolers.

Should it work in the 3.6 -3.8 range?

I can hit 3.8 without much of a problem with my Noctua after i replaced the fan with an Ultra Kaze. It actually does 4ghz but the load temps were too high for my liking.

The stock Noctua with its push/pull set up got me 3.6ghz easily.
