If you didn't have the tall heatsinks on your memory, will the fan still be hitting?

I want this cooler but I might have to switch my memory first.

Another clooser look, very complicated fins layout and looks really good and high density.
Massive HDT heatpipes, don't know what the center piece is for but it looks nice.

another closer looks to the base design, looks very solid.

installed it with Ultra Kaze, it fits on xfx 780i mobo and it is touching the memory heatsink, no big deal cuz xiggys rubber fan mount really good at absorbing vibration.

HERE IS THE KICKER! forgot to put the exhaust fan back in place, have to tear the whole thing apart..............sigh.
looks like wires and fans hanging off every where....what temps do you have there ?

If you have tall heatsink's you can use them in the first slot but ONLY if your using a 25mm fan. Anything longer and it will block out your first DIMM.

Thanks for responding.

I have 2 Panaflos that I want to use in a push/pull config and looking at poohball's pics, he had to "open" the memory clips to make it work. Looks like even if I had memory with regular heatsinks it might not still fit? Hope you can clarify.

Thanks again.

Well if the heatsinks have tall fins on them like the Corsair Dominator dam does, then you can't fit anything over 25mm. If it just has the heatsinks that sit on the modules and don't have fins that jet upward you might be alright.
