If anything the Megahalem needs to be lapped when being compared to a TRUE copper. I can't believe so many people are saying this. Sorry to sound like a prick but I'd rather say the truth than be quiet.

Here are some screenshots review on the TRUE copper so that you guys can get a better feel for the cooler in question:

Xbit Labs

Bjorn 3D

Side notes : the TRUE weighs in at 1900 grams. The Prolimatech Megahalem is 780 grams in comparison. The manufacturer cautions to only mount it horizontally cause of the weight(i.e you may have to leave you case on the side if you're going to run it in your system.
Funny I didn't take it as you coming off as a prick, until you said "sorry to sound like a prick."

Anyway thanks for the info, sorry I didn't research a cooler that I had no intentions of purchasing.

Not true. They "machine it so there are bumps where they are needed"

ie, there's likely to be a hill in the middle so it fits snugly in an intel CPU's valley.

so if you lap the CPU and don't lap the megatron....
