My power supply almost blocks it.(well the cable) I will be getting my motherboard back tomorrow from being rmaed. I my very well not even use the rear heat sync. makes mount in case like 50 times harder.

Yeah, I've tested it a bit myself a long while back (though I didn't bother posting my results) and it really made no difference... just be sure that you adequately tighten the heatsink down as to compensate for the few millimeters of space the backside cooler took up.

BTW, I see I've found yet another OCNer in the Portland metro area

That is pretty tight, IMO Cleanest city in the world!! Have you ever been to San Francisco they don;t even seem to have public trash cans. Or even public restrooms for that matter. I walked about 20 blocks with a empty cup in my hand cause I could not find any trash cans.
Back on topic:
Yeah so the rear heat sync, it has that clear plastic thing thats run the whole distance tell it reaches the fins. I doubt it even cools the rear of teh mother board lol. It does seem to just be cosmetic.

If you have the money, it's definitely worth pairing megatron with a 120x38 (san ace, panaflo, or ultra kaze), but if you don't, push/pull 120x25s definitely gave better temps than a single 120x25.

Hope that helps
I am about to install my Megahalems and I have two 120mm fans. Which fan should be pulling/pushing?

I have these 120x120x25:
Scythe SY1225SL12SH - 1,900 rpm, 110.31 CFM
Yate Loon D12BH-12 - 2,300 rpm, 89 CFM

Well you'd probably get better performance with the Yate pushing and the Scythe pulling but the Yate's extra power coming in on the Scythe may lessen its lifespan. (Which may not be such a bad thing )

You mean it would shorten the Scythe's lifespan. What's wrong with this fan?

Slipstreams are just not very well respected around here. There are plenty of much better 120mm fans, like the Yate Loon you're using.

I think it has something to do with very high CFM ratings but not much static pressure so when in a situation where they have to push through something, they are not very good.

I only paid $8 for it, so hopefully it'll get me to where I need to go.

What other brands are recommended?
