I'm believe, at least from what I've read, that the OCZ is just a knockoff of the HDT-S1283. They may have purchased redistro or reman rights to make them, who knows.

Expanding huh? Heh, best of luck to you. You make the best looking and functional mounts I can honestly say I've ever seen. Switch the words around how you like, they're still bloody awesome.

Guys, I'm certain that if nafljhy has it in hand, he can make.

what i was thinking of was more the lines of a standard back plate alot like the one that already comes with am2 baords. then have a top I plate that bolted down like how the EK is. if anything we could loose the springs and shorten the blots to make a universal mount for all am2 coolers.

using aluminium or even brass would be perfect for the job.

so far, the people who are using the mounts do use their standard backplate and screw down into it.. there are some threads in this section.. take a look around and you'll see whats what most have done. it's really up to preference on how you want to mount it. down into a backplate or a hardmount like a waterblock.

here are the threads:

Got mine installed today. I probably did it the hard way, but it still worked out.

Figured there's already enough separate threads on this, so I'm putting my pics here.

Dropped me at least 3-4c idle, obviously that means nothing, but it's still improved. Just overclocked @ 3.5, stock volts. Will check load temps when I get the chance.

I think he's wanting an "I" type bracket that will go over the base, where the AMD clip usually goes ?

oh. i think i know what you mean... but i don't know if i would be able to make it as one piece.... i'm thinking it'd have to be made out of two...

might i ask why you would want it as an I bracket?
