Me too. I think people around here just say "pressure mod" and "lap it" for the sake of saying it without ever even having tried or owned that particular cooler.

Seems you're the only with with a Megahalem, and you're the only who doesn't think it needs to be pressure modded. Does anyone have any benchmarks or reviews showing that pressure modding the Megahalem actually improves temperatures?

Also what fan are pairing with your megahalem?

No I have one too. I do not think a penny will even work under it. This cooler doesn't need this pressure mod or a lap. There is a certain point where too much pressure is a bad thing people. Especially, if its making your IHS bend under pressure, possibly crushing the core. I say forgo any lapping or this pressure mod developed for the TRUE120. The Megahalem is a well polished, and solid cooler without them. Enjoy it! I know I do mine!

Rook_,
I'm using a pair of Scythe S-Flex SFF21F Fans (push/pull).
I havent had any issue with them....
but I do have extra fans laying around for the day that a fan dies.

Hmm, agreed, Ditch the Slipstream, it may say it moves 110cfm of air, but I hear that Scythe's ratings for it were a little off. Also it has a 80mm motor and very little static pressure, the thing that counts on heatsinks/rad!

Get a San Ace, Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000RPM

Seems everyone with a Megahalem thinks it's fine without a pressure mod. I like that a lot actually, shows good design.

NCspecV81, does the Megahalem fit on the Blood Rage? The ram slots look a little close on that board. I ordered a BloodRageGTI/i7 and am wondering if I'm going to have any problems fitting the Megahalem on the Bloodrage.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check those out.

Edit: I checked those fans out, they're 38mm, I thought the Prolimatech took up way too much space with a 38mm and 25mm is recommended?
